RACHEL ROSENBLUM DESIGN
Rachael Rosenblum is the founder and creative director of Rachael Rosenblum Design, a Brooklyn-based design studio creating richly layered interiors, handcrafted furniture, and bespoke objects rooted in craftsmanship, materiality, and storytelling.
Before founding her studio, Rosenblum spent more than two decades designing and developing textiles, collaborating with Italian weaving mills and manufacturers. She lived in Italy for three years, where she studied design in Milan and immersed herself in the country's rich tradition of craftsmanship and artisanal production. She continues to return to Italy for work, maintaining relationships with the mills and makers that helped shape her early career and her enduring appreciation for exceptional materials and thoughtful design.
With a career rooted in textiles, Rosenblum approaches every project through the lens of material—believing that fabric, wood, metal, and stone each bring their own character and emotional resonance, and that the thoughtful combination of these elements is what gives a space its depth, warmth, and sense of permanence.
Each project begins with the belief that a home should tell a deeply personal story. Working from her Brooklyn Navy Yard studio, Rosenblum collaborates with a network of local artisans, upholsterers, woodworkers, metal fabricators, and craftspeople to create interiors and furnishings that feel collected rather than decorated—balancing sculptural form with warmth, functionality, and enduring craftsmanship.
Her studio's growing furniture collection—including the Hart Chair, Lollipop Ottoman Collection, and Overnite Sofa—reflects the same philosophy: timeless, tactile pieces that are thoughtfully designed to adapt to the way people live today. Whether restoring an heirloom, designing a custom residence, or creating an original furniture collection, Rosenblum is driven by a passion for exceptional craftsmanship, expressive materials, and spaces that invite curiosity, connection, and discovery.
For the 2026 Brooklyn Showhouse, Rosenblum continues her exploration of interiors as emotional landscapes—spaces where furniture, art, texture, and symbolism invite curiosity and encourage a deeper connection to the unseen narratives that shape our lives.
